Editorial:
Challenge as a publication
has been down for several years as one can see from the main page of the Challenge
website. We apologize for this, but due to my illnesses for the last eight
years I had little choice in this matter. However, we are back to take up
the fight where we left off. While I have been debating, again, for a year or so,
I haven't been able to get the publication back up. While it will no
longer, primarily, be a paper publication we will begin with an electronic publication each
quarter. As we have in the past we will use this publication to carry on
the fight with error. While we will deal with atheism/skepticism and
evolution vs. creation for the most part, we will also deal with other
issues.
One of
the things that we will continue to do in this publication, is to give equal space to our opponents. As
long as people treat each other with respect (which includes no cursing, name
calling, or using foul language), they will be able to write for this
publication. All Biblical passages (used by proponents of the integrity of
the Bible) will be taken from either the King James Version, The American
Standard of 1901 or the New King James Version. I am sure that skeptics/atheists
will want to use other versions, but those on our side will be restricted
to those versions that I have listed. My personal belief is that the King
James Version is the most accurate version that we have. The American
Standard of 1901 comes in second with the New King James coming third. Any
other version will have to be preapproved, and there must be a specific
reason for using it.
We hope to be able to keep
Challenge up and running from this time
forward. Since we don't have the expense of a paper version (the price of
publishing and mailing) it should be much easier than it previously was. I still
haven't got all the back issues on the website as of yet, but I
will just as soon as I can get them. It may take some time. However, we begin with Volume
8 because the last issue printed was in Volume 7. We hope to
be with you for a long time to come. All are invited to respond to anything that
you feel is necessary. The only other restriction will be space. All articles need
to be limited to no more than 8,000 words per
article unless you are quoting an article in yours from another source.
Thank you,
and we look forward to working with you again.
In Christ Jesus
